It doesn't have the preout / Main in jacks, I would say no. It's amps are rated at 65W per channel rms, tho. And it's from the FISHER Era, not the Emerson or Sanyo Era.
It's basically a 500-TX(FISHER's TOTL model for 1969-71 in USA) with a Multiple voltage transformer, so you can take it with you on vacation to Tahiti, Not that you'd get real good reception out in the middle of the Pacific........but it will do nicely in the States. Make sure it comes with the RK-30 remote. That was standard on the 800-T and an optional part on the 500-TX. It's a wired remote for the Auto Scan tuning. Plus it has 4 presets via the varactor tuning. AM is pretty good too.

You could modify the unit by disconnecting the hot wire from the REVERB OUT jacks and connecting it on top of the hot wire at the REVERB IN jacks. This bypasses the reverb connections. Then pull the external reverb jumpers. Next, wire from pin 8D (left) and 8H (right) on the power amplifier module to the now vacated REVERB OUT jacks. This is now the preamp output. Depending on the input impedance of the external power amplifier, it may be necessary to increase the volume because this impedance will be in parallel with the impedance of the internal power amplifier.

You didn't mention how much the seller is asking. I'm not sure you realize it, but the 800T routinely fetches ridiculous prices. Even if you don't intend to modify it, if it's clean and working you could resell it for a very tidy profit.
He knows what it's worth, then. Although as I recall there were three sales in April alone on ebay ending over $1,300.
With a component valued in that range, I wouldn't buy it and then modify it. You would run a risk of significantly lowering its value, although if you plan to keep it long term that's not a consideration.
