Fisher Console Roadside Find!

What would be a reccomended rectifier replacement (volts/amps)?

And where could I find a schematic? I would love to get this recapped before the week's out.

Don't know about a schematic. Console FISHER's Manuals are scarcer then Hens Teeth. Last resort check with the FISHERDOC. He supposedly has them, BUT! It took me 6 months and too many to count emails to get the WHOLE THING. And that was about a year ago. There's not that many caps in it, so flip it over, write down the value and voltage of each cap,(making a mark on each as you write it down), and then convert the old values to new values, up the voltages on the power supply, BIAS, and coupling caps, and make your order.

As for Rectifier, replace with Radio Shack Part # 276-1181 IF IT's a SIEMEN's or other Rectifier.

If it's plain diodes, you can use 1n4007's.

Sweet find:yes: Congratulations David. Those 6hu8 tubes are kinda pricey, $40.00 and up for a single tube but they sound very nice. I have them in my Fisher and they sound great. Are all the tubes Fisher branded? The 6hu8's and the 12ax7's could very well be Telefunkin's with a fisher name. Found out thats whats inside mine after a friend told me to look for the diamond shape in the base. It should sound fantastic after doing a recap.

Both my 65 Futura VI and Custom Electra VIII, along with my '62 Nordmende Isabella have ITT branded 6HU8's. I looked for Diamonds on the base. no go. Understand they were possibly made by Valvo and rebranded.

I'm getting the parts together to make an adapter to use 2-EL-95's for each 6HU8.
