Fisher CR-4025 “aux input”?

Just grabbed a Fisher CR-4025. Deck appears to work near pretty well. All cassette related functions, VU meters, etc, all seem to work fine. But... I was hoping to use the line inputs (standard RCA) on the back to connect a Bluetooth receiver, hoping that I can piggy back two audio sources (tape/BT) from the deck to the aux input on my Marantz 2015. I’m not getting signal. I’ve tried everything I can think of. It boasts the ability to “playback any audio source” via the line inputs. Anyone familiar with this unit? Something I’m maybe missing? Possible that the inputs are just dead? (Would seem odd to me). Any insight is appreciated.

If in fact the inputs are kaput, who’s got a good alternative to select between two audio sources on one aux input on a receiver? I have a 4 button push selector for a different rig, so I know something similar is at least a last resort...

Since this deck does not have a tape/source monitor switch, something that is common on 3-head decks but not found on 2-head decks, my suspicion is that its line outputs only provide audio from a tape when you are playing it and they are unable to provide audio from the source connected to the deck's line inputs. A multi-input source selector box like the one you mentioned is probably the easiest way to provide the option for connecting additional sources to your receiver.
