Heard back...looks like Monday for a new toy. Glad the GF is off with her daughter right now. She is sooooooo tolerant, but my man cave is approaching 1200 square feet....... I need to limit it, but it's so tough. The Fisher really sounds nice too. I had one in my early 20's with Altecs. MMMM tasty!

BTW Jason I owe you at least a six pack of good stuff.... If you like high quality beer (I am currently on the wagon, but I can accompany friends) I would love to treat you to The Trappist in Oakland for some of the best beer you will EVER have.

You know that's not so funny. I know a shop that closed in 1986 and the family has never sold off the stock. I got some tube caddies that would make you hurt. My mom was good friends with the owner's. I keep waiting for the call...

Let's say it's in the east bay and was in business from 1930 to 1986. They were a stocking Packard Bell, Curtis Mathes, Lafayette, Eico, McIntosh, Dyna (kits), HK, and Fisher dealer and more than a few other lines. I learned a lot of my tube knowledge from him. He helped me rebuild my first two Mc 275's from a local theater in the middle 70's. I still have them here somewhere too.....

But if Pepsi is your poison, a few cases would be on your way when you are ready. I am a serious Coca Cola fan. I love the Mexican coke with real sugar....

Wow well if you get a chance to go back, let me go and take some photos at least. I would love to find some of that kit stuff, I think it would be so cool for displaying. how many unassembled kits does one find? It would be neat to see a show room preserved in time. There was a lady awhile back selling some tubes on CL. I emailed and she said that they were only a tiny portion of what she had, turned out her father had a shop up in the mountains somewhere and everything was still there, the doors were locked and no ones been in for decades.

yep mexican coke is the best, its rumored it is the original formula still containing cocaine. I like pepsi because it won't eat away metal or used to clean corrosion of battery terminals. Pepsi was original a stomach settler.

Here ya go....

Nice seeing what this gear came out of, since I only bought the guts. There should be some schematics floating around the tube forum somewhere....

Make sure you post some pix in the sticky Fisher thread on the tube forum....:thmbsp:
