Fisher X-1000 Value

Hi all
I am on my way to pick up Fisher X-1000 in working order and the seller is not budging to come down from 550. Is it worth that much. Any help/suggestions appreciated. This is a very old X-1000 with golden color faceplate. I do have a X100 with similar golden color faceplate..

Yep, great price as long as the trannies are good. Saw one on the auction site go for over 2K. It was way over priced though.

If memory serves me correct... Fisher actually had two X-1000 models, i am pretty sure you were thinking of the Big Dawg X-1000 with EL34 tubes. I believe this is its smaller brother witch used the EL84's, I think this one was used in early higher end consoles, ie 1959 Executive

Completely bizarre that there are two X-1000s. Yeah, I was assuming it was the EL34 zillion-dollar one. I had no idea there was this little one out there. Looks like a nice amp, and if it has a good tube complement that may be worth much of the purchase price itself.

I am backing out of my offer for you to send it to me if you don't like it. :D

Not to put down the X101's as they are sweet little amps but I already have a KX200 and I have a X202-b that is a waiting project so I like Fishers.

I was thinking of one of these.

@Ken Boyd... I like fisher too.. Thats why I have a collection too.. ;) This one looks similar to the x100 I have.. If X-1000s are rare like hens teeth.. then this should be Dodos teeth... And it works and has all american tubes.. I will upload couple more pics... Now I have to find the service manual for this just in case..
 
Forgot I also have a 400 receiver that I need to restore. I have no shortage of items to go thru just a shortage of time.

Ya know, i have a pile of Fisher stuff, recievers, preamps, sa300, crap even two Exec consoles. Sadly I also have many time constraints as you mention.

The X-1000 in your pic has pretty much flew under my radar. Not sure if it is my unfamiliarity with output tube or what, that thing is quite cool actually, i would make room
