Fleetwood Mac fires Lindsey Buckingham?

Fake news, it is Rolling Stones:D

I know there's another thread, I think it's a stupid move, they would of had big bank if they where all together again for a change.

Maybe they just can't get along anymore. Toxic. Bands can be like that, even when together for a very short time. Egos clash, many artists have huge egos. Can't imagine what it might possibly be like when tensions exist over a span of years.

just speculating...haven't read anything.

I agree about the potential financial rewards had the whole band toured together. Are both Christine and Stevie with them now?

makes me wonder about the structure of the band, is it REALLY micks and Johns band and they dictate personnel changes as the rhythm section? what is the legal entity of the band that is able to issue a 'fire' notice.

its a shame and not interested then. cuz if I am gonna shell out big bucks i want the heyday lineup with guest appearances by peter and bob (oh yeah, right...forgot about that) cuz hypnotized is hands down my fav mac song and no one covers it well...

Fleetwood Mac is touring? Who knew? Shame about the booting of Buckingham, amazing guitarist...

Lindsey Buckingham has always been somewhat of a prima donna. It's not his first departure but it may well be his last. But they're not the same band without him. Say what you will but the man's an amazing guitar player who, imo, gets little respect as a front man. Something about a finger plucked string has a distinctive sound that can't be duplicated. I wouldn't waste money to see FM without him. Or any of the other members for that matter.

I saw them on their "last" tour. A nice show but Lindsey was the only one that was really feeling it and put on a great show. The others.....Mick needed a "filler" drummer, Christine hurt her hand, and Stevie stopped reaching for those higher notes. So I doubt I'll be seeing this one.

And there is always the possibility that Lindsey sees this for what it is....another old rockers money grubbing tour. Most of the members, except for Mick, are pretty well off and don't need the money AFAIK.

A sad end to an era. Been a fan since the Peter Green days and loved all of the Fleetwood Mac versions.

Good for Mike Campbell. Hopefully this will be a match that will run long term. Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers is one of my favorites.

Maybe they just can't get along anymore.

Anymore? They never could ... at least since Nicks and Buckingham joined up. Interpersonal relationships in the Rumors era read like episodes of As The Stomach Churns ... Didn't stop them from creating some choice tunes.

Sometimes wish B &N never joined.
Completely changed what was a great band even after Kirwin and Spencer left and Welsh joined.

Took me some time to warm up to them in spite of Nicks' looks.
Seemed to me to be intruders.
I looked upon their B&N album with derision.
Might be interesting to listen to it for a second time and re-evaluate it, however.

Why wait?

Other side of the coin, those who regard them as Buckingham Nicks ... and their backup band ... <G>

Scored a hi-res rip of their "solo" album and gotta admit, it's one of my favorite go-to's when feeling mellow.

I always though the real talent was Buckingham & McVie. Before and after their involvement without them it isn't Fleetwood Mac it's just Fleetwood Meh.
