Made me think of a show I watched recently, some kind of "Restaurant Makeover" type show. They had a stage, and the backdrop was an entire wall of random speakers piled on top of each other, in a brick pattern, all painted a uniform dark blue. Interesting visual. The paint "splatter" makes me think this was the same kind of "art".
