I had a pair of his stand mounts from the A series.

They were nice, balanced... polite.

New to this forum... Model E Monitors were pretty terrific back in the day. I built a pair from a kit back in '79 if I remember correctly. Very open and unboxed sonic presentation with smooth, extended low end. Those walnut cabinets look awesome. Mine were painted mdf...

The cabinets came out great, they were model E,s ,,kit must have been built by some cabinet maker for the RV industry as all the screws were the bow tie end screws. And the cabinets were solid walnut.

Could you please post what the dimensions of the cabinets are: Height, & Footprint?

In 1982 Irving Fried was personally demonstrating his satellite / subwoofer combinations at meetings of the AES in Manhattan, and the Model E's at an Upper West Side retail High End shop. One of that model's outstanding features was its field-coherence imaging -- the listener could walk across the field and the image would follow without any "Venetian Blind Effect", as he termed it (?). He called the structure of the model E, a "Line-Tunnel". Only the huge "O" series of woofers were true "Transmission Line" speakers.
