The PL-C7 Cartridge (1970) was used in the PL-41A Turntable (1970). Not to be confused with the PL-C7 Turntable (1983).

Not only is this a re-used model number, it applies to two completely different components.

FYI #42: C-73 and M-73 re-used numbers

The C-73 and M-73 were Japanese versions, in 1977, of the SPEC-3 and SPEC-4 Pre and Power amps, respectively. C-73 and M-73 model numbers were re-used as early as 1991 for the Elite line pre and power amps.

The model AS-305A speaker kit was actually used to build the CS-A50 speaker system.

Their is a differance between the DT-500 and DT-510 look at the display the 500 has a chrome frame around the window the 510 does not. The knobs are differant. But basically the 500 shares styling with the 73-75 units the 510 75-79 units or something close to that. The 500 looks much more like my TX-9100 then the 510 does. Operationally they are the same. I'll bet internally they are as well.
 
Yep, that frame is a nice distinguishing feature. But, the difference in the knob is really significant. Part of that transition from machined/cast aluminum to plastic.

There is another significant difference, in that the DT-500 is a blue fluoroscan display, while the DT-510 is a blue LED display.

FYI #44: Walnut and Rosewood

Walnut and Rosewood, not veneer or vinyl, was used in CS-05, CS-06, CS-06A (Walnut) and CS-10, CS-3000A, and CS-T8 (Rosewood), until 1976.

All other speakers used walnut or rosewood veneer or vinyl coverings, and mostly migrated to vinyl by the late 1970s and early 1980s, except for some product available only in Japan in the early 1980s (S-955iii, S-180iii, S-180A, Exclusive 2301, Exclusive 3401). Those products used Rosewood and Walnut veneers.

FYI #48 - Wireless headphones – in 1977

The TM-5, available in Japan in 1977, were a wireless headphone with a frequency response of 50hz to 10khz.

Just look at that antenna!
