Will a volume knob from a G-8000 be a direct replacement for a G-7500?

Get the service manuals and compare the part numbers. I checked the G-7000 against the G-8000/9000 and the part numbers are different. I don't have G-7500 SM. The knobs are probably different diameters.

Nope, a G8K is too big. Look for a G-7000 knob. Maybe even a G-6000 knob would work.

It will be the same size as the tuning knob. The difference between the two is the volume knob will have a notch in it.

The Volume knob and Tuning knob from a G-5500 might work. There is a set on ebay right now. Remove the tuning knob and make some measurements to compare with the ones that are on Ebay. You might ask the seller for a picture of the back side to make sure they have the same mount as what you need. I hope these will work for you.

Well, that's a bummer. At least you have something that will work. I wonder if the seller will trade for the volume knob?
