That's a helluva deal! Wonder what the speakers are - you never know what people stuffed into "custom" cabinets.
The switches on my Dad's Fisher 400 that he bought new in 1963 broke off the same way in the early 70's. First the speaker switch, then the tape monitor switch and then loudness contour.
The paddles were very long and they broke off at the base because of the leverage put on them coupled with the heat making them brittle.
We used a chopstick to switch 'em on and off for years.
