Gary Moore passes.

I can imagine no stronger connection between player and instrument than there was between Gary Moore and the Les Paul -- particularly the Peter Green Les Paul.

Gary sure loved his Lesters, though he'd occasionally scoop up a Stratocaster. The "Peter Green" Les Paul, in Gary's (and, to be fair, Peter's) hands had a voice with knockout punch capability.

The first concert that I ever went to was Thin Lizzy opening for Queen on the tour that Brian May alluded to. A great night with wonderful performances by both bands. Gary Moore will surely be missed.

I've never been a "fan" of Gary Moore's, but I always appreciated his playing and considered him among the guitar greats. It's a shame how many guitar greats had to go at a young age... So sudden and unexpected.

I have listened to Gary since the early 80's. Someone turned me on to Still Got the Blues cd, and I was hooked.

Really sorry to hear that. Saw him play down in Houston in about '75.
