My new word of the day. I'll freely admit I'm a bit of a news junkie, and this is the first I've heard of it. Come to find out, the mRNA itself wouldn't survive long enough to produce antibodies if injected direct. Solution is to encase the stuff with nanolipids to slow things down enough for the mRNA to start doing it's thing.

i haven't noticed much difference here . only real difference is i haven't seen or heard any main stream news media for a year .
 
In my city of 70k more people have died of heart attacks than the Chinese flu by a vast majority.Actually in the city zero deaths,zero in hospital.District wide 2 deaths .Personally I have zero fear of the Chinese flu .When it comes time I will get the shot if its a requirement for me to travel to the States or England.I should add zero in hospital since day one,and we were late to the face diaper craze.

Maybe they're too busy doing other stuff to update the site? Besides, I see nothing to contraindicate the use of nanolipids for delivery - not worth mentioning until it became a problem I suppose.

What made me look was an article on today's episode of PBS News Hour (skip ahead to 1:10). They also mentioned that producing the nanolipids in the quantities needed has been a problem they're working on. Mostly it boils down to manufacturing the equipment needed to produce them - also "re-purposed" tech that no one was planning to need.

If you get the feeling they're making it up as they go along ... you're right. And thank the gods they are ...

Mask wearing is about not spreading it. It has very little to do with protecting the wearer.

The problem that this country has had is selfishness, patience, and entitlement. A little more thinking of others, and little less of just thinking of ourselves would've went an awful long way in circumventing the virus early on.

As I understand it, mRna vaccine is not gene therapy. It does not change genetic information of the cell. It encourages the manufacturing of our own missing protein.
