Good speakers for dance music

HI, I'm knew here but have looked at this site for years. I really enjoy my current set up, which is turntables (2 technics 1200 and a Duel) and cassette player connected into a Pioneer DJM 600, which then runs through a harmon/karmon receiver from late 1970s to power my B&Wdm100i speakers. Problem is, I think I've either over exerted my speakers or the receiver. I'm looking to upgrade both starting with the speakers. I listen to literally all types of music imaginable. But, I have been recently been doing deep house and techno mixed in with international psychofunk from the '70s. So, lots of sounds all over the spectrum. And I am just wondering what the best, and affordable, Hi-Fi speakers are (I don't really want to do monitor speakers) for capturing the deep base and squelching highs as well as being able to handle the volume.

I was listening to Daft Punk on my ESS AMT1a bookshelf speakers and was pleasantly surprised by how well they captured the groove of the music. Not the deepest bass, obviously, but maybe a pair of the larger floor standers can provide deeper bass.
 
Are we talking waltezs or disco or swing. Any way I would say EV, JBL, Altec, Community, and Some Klipsch depending on how large the space and how much bass you need. If people are to be dancing then you want the Horns and tweeter just above ear height. Sound really disappears if people are dancing and the sound is directed at their belt lines.
 
What’s your budget, and size constrictions?
My ADS 910s can kick some serious ass at volume! They sound phenomenal with any genre, they don’t care, and love power. They were also designed as studio monitors.
Just one avenue to check out. Also the ADS 1530s, 1590s will do well.

I’d recommend a Large power amplifier and some Kabukis......Some with big woofs and lots of tweets to exceed the spectrums.......some may even offer potentiometers to Tweeeek the frequencies.........or possibly utilize a powered subwoofer?

Thanks all. I’ve been looking at some Vegas and ads but I’ll definitely check out some of the other recommendations. See what is available in Pacific Northwest area. I got an insurance claim that can only be used on speakers cause vestment flooded and took out some old 1950 British made speakers, which were apparently valuable
 
A good amp that can handle 4 ohm loads... maybe even separates, i.e. pre-amp, amp etc. Any of your Cerwin Vega's, JBL'S with larger woofers. Vega's will usually rattle some walls. Depends on the sound quality you want also. Look at what alot of clubs and pros use also...alot of JBL's. If you want good S.Q. you may want to go the route of a large A/D/S speakers or Klipsch. I would think Vega's are plentiful, cheap and durable, usually fused. Remember if you want to go deep with bass you need current and power...you can never have enough IMO.
 
Kenwood KL777a. Just the 777a. Not the 777 or others in the 777 series.
Or the Pioneer CS99a, for 9 times as much.
These 2 speakers will bring it hard without the base drone. Good for all night gigs.
