Good speakers for dance music

I know a lot of people on here don't like the pioneer cs-99a. I owned a pair for a few yrs. Feed them some good quality watts and they will blow you out of the room without distortion. They're not critical listening speakers but they will pound! They have gotten spendy though.
 
Dancy and 80s music is my favorite. I listen to everything from 1950s bubblegum to current. I actually write dance music. I've littered my house with Jensen speakers from the 70's and very early 80s only. I'm very impressed with the Jensen's from that era. There is lots of dislike for Jensen's and I dont know why. They have some of the best sound. At least to me. I just got a pair of Cerwin Vegas 217r's and can also recommend them for good candidates for dance music.
 
You said "cheapest", but then didn't really quantify your budget. Cheapest could mean totally different things for different people.
As stated above; Cerwin Vega's. The XLS215 will rock the house, hit all the highs and lows, and do it off not a lot of power. But they run roughly $700 each. $1400 might not be much for some people, but for others...
If you want to spend less, I'd go with what some people consider a "knockoff" of the CV's, the BIC RTR EV15. Still loud. Still have the highs and lows. But about 1/3rd the price.
 
My brother-in-law has them. I hate them. But for party and dance stuff...........CERWIN VEGA all the way.
 
A couple other honorable mentions would possibly be the Emotiva T1+'s or T2+'s, or the Fluance Signature towers. If you were looking for something that should be good for EDM, but also look fairly decent. The Fluance even have 30 free returns, including shipping.
