Good TT for $100?

Hello,
So my current TT (Sanyo TPX-3) crapped the bed on me. I've had it for about 4 years now and it's been ok. I've been wanting to upgrade anyways so it's not too bad. I have a budget of around $100-$120. Any suggestions?

Grab this fast. Reliable, well built, sounds superb. And low maintenance. Spinning my SL-D1 right now. And it's enjoyed often. Do upgrade the mat.

The SL-D2 is well worth the $135 asking price. Still; you can offer less especially since it has been listed for 29 days without a buyer. That it has been serviced is a good selling point for a vintage deck. Unfortunately, it may have already been sold as it has been on there so long. Sellers often fail to remove sold items. I wish you luck.

Lambfriend don't be concerned about the small stuff, for the money this is about as good as it gets. By some small chance it's still available after being on CL for a month don't waste a minute and get in contact with the seller and check it out ASAP, like today with cash in hand. When you find a table like this with the original box, foam inserts, owners manual and accessories you hit the audio gold standard in vintage tables and the cartridge is nothing to sneeze at either.

I would look into fixing your current TT. If it truly is broken, you've got nothing to lose. What's wrong with it?

The motor isn't spinning, I opened it up and cleaned it. It wasn't even really dirty. It was serviced when I bought it too. I know it's getting power because the strobe light comes on and the auto functions still work.

If the motor (FG Servo type) has brushes then they may have worn out and could be replaced inexpensively but if it is a brushless motor then you may need a new motor (or not).

Lambfriend AK is a very popular audio site and watched by a lot of people that aren't signed up/members. I wouldn't wait till it's convenient on the weekend to go look at the table and purchase it if it lives up to the description.

The seller has taken the post down and is holding it for me. I don't think I have anything to worry about. Thanks for looking out.

Do not forget to introduce them to AK if they are not already familiar with us.
