Goodness sakes alive! A Sears tuner!

[Sansui Louie]

Did MCS ever make separates in black? I thought I saw some a few months ago. Or, it may have just been a receiver.

My uncle Mike had a MCS separates system in black, it looked very Sansui. Int. amp, tuner, cassette deck and DD turntable. I think it was around 50 watts a side, if memory serves. This would have been in about 79 or 80.

Sears did offer some very fine products back in the day. Jimi Hendrix owned a black hollow body Silvertone guitar when he was just starting to play in Seattle. That black hollow body remained a staple at Sears for many years in the early 60s. That was definitely not a piece of junk.
