Well, I got my $8 a week allowance, and promptly went up to the Goodwill. I go back to the record section, and see a box of "new" donations. I start pawing eagerly.....WOW! TONS of good stuff. For what you paid.. score.. I stopped in at a thrift today, and the very first time I have ever seen any decent albums there of all the times I looked.. got about 6 albums, and two scotch 7" reels for $11... that was with 25% off..

I got Fleetwood, tusk
Tears for fears songs from the big chair
Christopher Cross
Genesis invisible touch
Joe Perry Project
Best of Bread
and Phill Collins no jacket

You did a lot better than me..

Bob Seger is one of my favorites. I could listen to an old Bob album any time. Since the rest is stuff you like, I'd call it a score. Buy now, ask questions later. Remember, they ain't making those anymore.

I got almost all of those albums, except Invisible Touch and Joe Perry Project at my Goodwill.....
GRALT ALBUMS! except Christopher Cross....didnt like that one....

I guess the cross comes form when I was younger.. .Don't remember the music well, but remember the cover and everyone had it.. My wife likes him, so ya know.. gotta keep her happy too.. but hearing she likes it means I probably won't enjoy it.. but I'll give it a try...

I was pretty shocked abbout how many Captain and Tenille (sp?) there was.. must have been at least 6 copies of about 4 different albums.. and to think I liked some of their stuff that everyone is tossing out.. eeerrrr...

I like the Thrift stores by me. One sells records for $0.25 each and the other is 3 for a dollar. Nice score David. :thmbsp: Sadly, the thrifts stores near me don't have a "just in" box so you have to look through all of the records to find anything that came in recently.

It wasn't a just in box, I just knew that it wasn't there last week....so I looked there first. Sorry about not making that clearer.....

Ah, I really think a "Just in" box would be a handy thing at thrift stores though.

Vinyldavid, with the stuff you like, which is the stuff all us old heads like, I think you may be a good study case for reincarnation. BTW the old Rodgers and Hart stuff should be some great old show tunes.

I like those cassettes, but I have most of it on vinyl, and I have a friend that REALLY likes it, but does not have much, so they are going to her....

Have fun Sounds like a nice haul of vinyl, lots of good sounds for your system I bet and fun to throw on the new stuff and find out what you like... I think the Moody Blues titles are always nice. :music:

I buy good cond. ONLY, except for something that I have never seen AND that I want, like the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang soundtrack.

and I like all of the music I buy, usually.
