Got Cojones? Take The Pepsi Challenge

A Great Day!

I really enjoyed myself yesterday. I couldn't have had a nicer time. Good to meet you too David & Paul. Both super good guys and I hope our paths cross again. James I heard you mention you owned a motorcycle. Have I got the perfect destination for a sweet bike ride. I'd like to invite you to my neck of the woods. A beautiful beachside community with alot going on. Aside from great eateries we have tiki style venues full of good music and fun in the spring & summer months. There's a row of antique shops, a beach, water park and alot more. It's less than an hours drive from your doorstep. We have alot of Americana that I think you'd appreciate too. Every year our community comes together and gets a group of wounded veterns from Walter Reed and takes them and family members out on the charter boats. A police escort and a few motorcycle clubs bring them in as the town turns out to welcome them.
Hope you'll make the ride out my way when the weather warms up again.

Circle the wagons!:D Too bad I left the DC area for my home here in the Golden State,we could have some fun! I still have fun baiting any Dallas fans that I run into. I'll never forget old Sonny's two minute drills, neither will the Cowboy's!

Yep, those were the "hay days". Jurgensen wore #9 and was the starter. Billy Kilmer was #17 his back up. And a heisman trophy winner named Joe wearing #7 was the third string QB. Great time to be a Skins fan. Today? Not so much.

LOL.. my wife brought that up after seeing the picture and someone would think it was a bong

It's not a bong, It's a wine boda I got when I was in Spain back in the early 80's

simi, you've learned well from all that time spent in DC. It's all about plausible deniability...

LOL.. oh yeah..

Now when I was younger, yep, I had to try it out.. and it pours wine much better than it smoked..

This was an enjoyable thread! You guys had a great time.
The 17's are very nice speakers for sure. I restored a pair hat my daughter now has. Next time, throw in a pair of Six's, Fives or Twenty Threes in the mix.

Those JBL's must be amazing btw!

Cheers to you all!

It don't take a ton of money...

To make me happy.
I put together much stuff with little to no expense and it works fine.
Been doin' this for 60 years and not stoppin yet.
I guess my tastes run to cheap or cheaper to free.

Years ago I spent tons of cash on stuff like Empire, AR, JBL, Crown and others to no avail. I found the guy putting this together make more of the sound than many pieces of equipment.
I made my own tonearm, TT, and stuff. I fixed my Dynaco pre, Yamaha power amp, Yamaha pre.
I also have fixed several full tape decks and several cassette decks that were on their last legs. I have so much fun now just tweaking.
I am squeezing so much sound/music from LP's, & CD's & tapes it's should be illegal.

Tweak until I die.

Paul
