got pioneer CS-822A today

I think i realize what it was now.
it is my listening room..
those speakers were brighter in the upper sounds, and it was really taking advantage of the bad acoustics of my room.

looks like i will have to do something about this room :scratch2:
 
I've got the 922As in really nice shape... and they sound alright... but I've got my eyes peeled for some unloved, blown out Cerwin Vega speakers (or bare cabinets), and seeing how the internals sound transplanted into a cabinet three or four times as large.
