Well, the reason I asked is I want to get good value for my money. If a $100 stylus isn't going to sound much better than the $55 one on this body I spent all of 10 bucks on, I'm not real inclined to buy the premium stylus. On the other hand, I don't want to buy the $55 one if the $100 one takes it to a whole different level. This would be a companion / backup cart to my Sonus Blue Gold on the Thorens 160, so I'd like it to at least be comparable in sound quality, if not specific sonics.
My other option would be to buy a high quality stylus for my Stanton 680EE and run it as the backup. The generic it has on there now isn't very good, and the Pickering V15 puts it to shame.
