I googled the first speakers he mentioned, came up with some results, not that exact model.
The ones I saw were priced ridiculously cheap.
So--are his model of speakers something good or crapola?

The lamp cord was a nice touch. Highly recommended on AK so he got that part right.

Those Ariston speakers are anything but crap. I don't get it either. Everyone always starts high. I bet you could get the stuff a lot cheaper if you were to show up with cash in hand. If I were near, I'd try to buy those little Aristons. Martin Logan center has got to be worth around $300 or so. The Aristons probably more. I'd bail on the Onk though. Weren't those Visoniks like an ADS speaker and part of a nice sub satellite system at one point. I don't think the seller is out of line at all.

I didn't even see that.

I was serious though about googling Ariston and seeing (on ebay) several pairs of small-ish speakers listed at under 10L....whatever that translates to. I took it to be very inexpensive.
