Greetings from Maine

Welcome aboard.
You are cordially invited to our next get together in West Boylston MA on 3/21/2020 if you’re into a road trip.
For this event we’re renting a church!

Hello,
I live north of Bangor
I live in D.C. but my wife and I fell in love with Maine in '86-'87. We were invited by the son of a couple. His mother looked around and found the cabins. We've been going ever since.

Welcome to AK!! I was stationed in Brunswick for 4 years....enjoyed the food and scenery!!

I just wanted to say thanks for all the welcome messages today. Seems a lot of people have love for Maine, I do as well. There is a reality to living here, for example, we just had a few inches of heavy, wet snow and lost power for a few days. It was an interesting thanksgiving, I made beef stew on a Colman’s stove then transferred it to the wood stove. Came out great. Hauled water from the old dug well so bathroom would work. We have lots of old oil lamps so everything went well. My sister ‘s family was impressed. We had a turkey dinner a day late. Over all, a real nice time with family.

Welcome to the forum. No doubt your Thanksgiving will be one of the more memorable ones for those who attended. Years from now the echos of, "Remember that Thanksgiving we lost power and had beef stew?" will still be heard.
