Hello all,
I've been recently bitten by the vintage audio bug. As I searched for info about various old speakers found on CL I would almost always be sent to forums on AK where folks here seemed very knowledgeable and unusually civil for the great unruly www. What a great resource! I'm only too glad to join.
Years ago as a poor teenager I lusted after high end Genesis and Infinitys but couldn't afford them so I built my own in about the most clueless way imaginable. Crossovers? Insulation? huh, what's that? Its a miracle any sound came out of those things at all. I'm happy to leave the building to the pros now but I find that new speakers and digital audio are sterile and fatiguing to my ears.
I'm here hoping to find in vintage speakers and vinyl the warmth that I've been missing.
thanks,
Ig
