Hi there, I have recently acquired a stereo system consisting of an ATLP120XUSB turntable, Onkyo P-3200 preamp and Onkyo M-5000 power amp. The issue is that I have a constant hum coming through the speakers whenever I have the turntable connected. I have essentially tried everything you can think of to eliminate it and I have run out of options. Now I am wondering if there might be a problem with the internal electronics on the amp. Even when I turn the amp on, I can hear a sort of humming sound coming from the amp, not through the speakers. But the hum only comes through the speakers when the TT is connected, if that makes any sense.
Any help would be appreciated. I live in an area without any audio repair shops nearby, but I would really like to keep the system because it truly does sound amazing. Should I ditch the system, or does anybody have a solution they might suggest?
