Guy Clark RIP

Must'a been a good one. Was it in 1990? I have a ROIO of Townes, Guy, and Robert Earl Keen performaing together @ Boulder, Colorado @ 1990. Trio of Texan Troubadours.

Another good one: TVZ, Guy and Steve Earle, Together At The Bluebird Cafe, 1995.

Happy trails,
Larry B.

Saw him at the Ann Arbor Folk Festival in about '98. He was having trouble with the cord/plug into his guitar not making a good connection and cutting out. Finally in frustration, he pulled it out, threw it on the floor and said something like, "Piss on it! This is how folk music is supposed to be anyway!" Ha, classic.

I was talking about Guy with Ray Wylie Hubbard a few hours ago and he told me that Guy's ashes have been sent to Terry Allen up in Santa Fe, who is going to use them in a memorial sculpture of some sort. After a lifetime of creating art, now he will become art.
