The link doesn't work for me but found it on the Bay. It is gorgeous and would give the very best a run for the money, IMHO.
 
I sent him a message, and asked if he heard the tuner switch into stereo (and the problem was just the bulb), or if all programs stayed in mono.

I'm the one who purchased this tuner at the E-bay auction. The issue was not with the stereo light bulb rather it was the relay coil in the MPX/Mono section. Once the coil got up to temp it would open fully causing the signal to completely lock out for dead silence. Replacement coils are few and far between unless you want to cannibalize a 310e's relay coil for a donor or you can re-engineer the entire relay system (this option is cost prohibitive, but it works). Since stations no longer broadcast in Mono the by-pass option seemed to be the most logical solution (particularly since you can always reverse this if you're so inclined).
