Had a heart attack, and bought a speaker while I was in the ICU

That must have been **** scary! Good that you’re on the mend, and bought a well deserved set of speakers to recover with listening to great music. Take it easy!

I may build outriggers like in your picture. Looks like a good idea.
I hoped you'd say that. I'd keep the existing tiptoes but put them at the ends of the outriggers – a cone is a perfect shape, they'll look good – and still fulfill their task of isolation.

Any stents or anything? I have one in there and it's been there for over 14 years. I probably need a couple more. I flunked a stress test last year.

Congratulations on your recovery! Best wishes for continuing Good Health!

Not quite the same story as the OP but after my heart attack in 2016 and subsequent release from the Cardiac ICU I did have my son stop by the local Best Buy so I could grab the NAD D3020 I had ordered prior to the heart attack.

they put a stent in me to clear the blockage caused by a plaque rupture. That stuff can dislodge and ruin your day.z

The whole angiogram/stent operation is absolutely amazing. I don't think I was in there any more than 15 minutes and I knew I could watch the screen if I wanted to so I asked them and they were already done. I immediately felt 100% better. One secondary artery was 100% blocked and two others were 60% which are most likely the two that need stents now, 14 years later.

Good luck!

Doug

This thread is soooo AK :)

Congrats on both survival and your decision! Those things are beauties (and nice digs, BTW)! After my time on the heart floor (where I also learned about Mrs. Dash seasonings), I bought a motorcycle (but one cheaper than your speakers).
