The set up does not look correct. The last picture has NO speakers connected and you should have them connected to the receiver.
Yes the receiver can be used as the tuner. We are nowhere close to that.

The speakers are hooked up to the pre amp.
Thanks for the tip @Dswankey. My mistake earlier. The speakers are naturally hooked up to the power amp not the pre amp.Speakers do NOT connect to this pre-amp, please be sure you have them connected to the NAD as @Blue Shadow instructed.

I hope my instructions are clear. For me to diagnose from a thousand miles away, I need to have things done a certain way and get a response so I can determine the next step.
Once we prove the preamp works and the fuses, all 7 of them, in the amp are good, we can move on to the next steps.
Hooked up the speakers to the NAD receiver, aux setting on the NAD nothing but a hum through my Monitor Audio’s. You mentioned a test with the iPhone, could you walk me through that?He has it right except the speakers. This for the first test, just the preamp.
