Haiku

Longing for the day
Big V-twin finally wakes
From hybernation

**Sorry - just noticed the format change. Was just catching up on 12 months of Haikus **

Rolling on the dune sand
this day I recall
remotely
the mem'ry of my first truck.

Toy box left open
lid futiley pushing down ,
unable to shut,
layered memories,
a personal time capsule.

ICICLE
Frozen ice sliver
Suspended by frigid air
Your life drips away

POPSICLE.

Frozen on the stick
Melting from warm summer breeze
Licking is futile.

Frozen on the stick
Melting from warm summer breeze
Licking is futile.

Standing in long lines
All wearing masks, hoping to

Crescendo of Blues
permeates thick, smoked shanty
wailing of woes past.

My hair is turning
Gray threads bloom between the blonde
At least it's still there

For you, @Quadman2

Unseen but still there,
Pulsing with spark and raw strength.
Arcing through circuits.

Shimmering woodland,
Dancing chiarascuro,
Weaving through branches,
Never knowing total peace,
Slave to the North wind's currents.

Slave to the North wind's currents.

Powerful last line!
