TT, you did him right. You captured the moment!

All three lines so well compile the respect and the loss of this past member.

End of Winter

Sunrise comes early.
Days spread their arms toward the light.
Soon warmth will return.

[Quadman2]

Do like your anticipation as well as "Day's".

I tend to worry about some trees/plants who get fooled by the warming.

LIFE

Entering our world,
with first milestone now being
passed, and more to come.

Books

Slowly turn each page.
Take time to digest the words.
Feel the weight of them.
Think of the secrets contained
Left there to be deciphered.

[Quadman2]

Thoughtful. Insightful. and meaningful, bv.

Q

[Quadman2]

SPRING

She quietly stands,
waiting her time to take part
on her yearly stage,
wanting to provide sunlight
to dormant green plants below.

Grandson

Touching the veined hand
Hardened by the years of work.
The boy's face looks up,
Smiles at the weathered man.
Distant in age, close in heart.

"Touching" this poem was!

A meld of different... "time periods".

ALZHEIMER'S

Dastardly bastard,
stealing thoughts and memories
from our relatives!

Q

[Quadman2]

LOVE

Intangible,
unattainable for some,
but necessary!

Flickers are calling
pounding out primal rhythms
rat a tat bam boom

[bobsvinyl]

Scapegoat

Sacrificial lamb
Thrown in with the rabid wolves
A poor career choice.

Kin hear it, if you listen close-like! Words missing...but meaning's there strong!

A poor career choice.

Truth oft times...comes with a price. Sometimes a dear one!

DIET

Counting calories,
for some it's carbohydrates
and now cutting back.

Q

[Quadman2]

JUSTICE

Scale of right or wrong
with blindness she tips her scale
determining truth.

Q

[Quadman2]

LIFE

Some are out going,
others just into this game
while others look back.

Summer

Hot breeze touches skin
Tick tick tick of sprinklers
As gnats invade ears.
Lightning in the distant sky
Tearing through the darkened clouds.
