It looks like the Bears are moving to Indiana. If so, this lifelong Bears fan is dumping them in favor of their long time rivals the Packers. I've always hated the Packers, but would much rather back a Wisconsin team than an Indiana team.

BTW, I worked 42 years within walking distance of Arlington Park, where the Bears were going to move. It was a sad day watching the smoke from Arlington Park from our parking lot when it burned in 85, but they replaced it with an awesome bigger and better facility. It was another sad day when the Bears tore that down.

Better than the Gary Bears.

If the Cubs can save Wrigley Field, why don't the Bears do the same with Soldier Field?

I "liked" your post but I do not like the content.

Should this happen, I, too, might be inclined to Go With The Pack!

According to this, they'll still be called the Chicago Bears:

AI Overview:

Chicago Bears news: What's next for Bears stadium plans ...
The team will still be called the Chicago Bears if they relocate their stadium to Indiana.
As the franchise explores a new stadium project in Hammond, Indiana, they have no plans to change their iconic name. Several other NFL teams play in a different state from the one in their name—such as the New York Giants and New York Jets playing in New Jersey, or the Dallas Cowboys playing in Arlington, Texas.

I have been following the story with vague interest in The Chicago Tribune.

From AI which agrees with Tribune reports:

"The proposed Chicago Bears stadium site in Hammond, Indiana, has drawn controversy because it is located on a former industrial dumping ground, primarily comprised of a massive "slag heap".

"Monsters of The Slag Heap"

I hate moves like this but... at least Hammond is only about 15 miles from Soldier Field. My dad, who was a long time 49'ers season ticket holder, sold that off when the new Niners stadium was built in Santa Clara. 45 long-ass miles away.
