I want to wish a happy Thanksgiving to the Audiokarma community: The most generous, intelligent people I've every met.

what is thanksgiving all about ? we have never heard about until now in the uk

You can probably find it on Wikipedia. But here's a short version: The Pilgrims left England to make a long dangerous, journey to America because they were suffering from religious discrimination. They landed at Plymouth Rock, a site in New England. The land was rocky and not suited for farming. They faced a long winter of starvation. The local Indians befriended them. They taught them how to farm and hunt. The result was a bounty of food. In gratitude, the Pilgrims decided to invite the Indians to a Thanksgiving celebration, to share their bounty.
