Harman Kardon 930 equivalent HK amp

I love the sound of my Harman Kardon 930. Was there an equivalent twin powered amp or integrated amp from HK at that time?

Not really, although the 15/16 setup is also quite nice from immediately after that line.

A-402 I think was the amp. I believe it was the larger of the 2, the other being the A-401. These were integrated amps.

yes, the A-402 was a twin powered integrated amp but it was in the line with the 730 and the 430 which came in after the 930. It is a great sounding amp. I have a couple of 730's a couple of 430's and a 930. I also have 3 A402's all 3 work but one has a problem. The T-403 tuner is the mate to the 402 amp. If I had my choice I would I would prefer the amp tuner combo over any of the receivers. The 402 is a very versatile amp with that warm tube like HK sound.

I had 2 of them hooked up to double Advents. I used one for control and each amp powered a pair of LA's. That gave each amp an 8 ohm impedence and each channel of power had it's own power supply. That was the best sounding system I've ever had hooked up. Good Luck!
