Has anyone found a pair of speakers and said "I'm done"?

Wondering if through your audio journey, has anyone found the perfect pair of speakers and said "I'm done", no need to look any further.

Which brand and why?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'll start: I listen to mainly Jazz, classical, easy listening and pop, some country

(BEST SO FAR)
To me, so far the best speakers I've owned are the B&W DM6's.
Amazing solid build quality, phase time aligned design, silky smooth high's, nice sound stage, accurate vocal midrange and deep bass...

In the running:
I recently acquired a pair of Dahlquist DQ-10's. and with a subwoofer, these things are amazing, maybe better than the DM6's (haven't yet A + B tested side by side) Wide soundstage, beautiful midrange. Drawback, their big and you need a large room to utilize them proper...

Yes, the Infinity Modulus, once heard all others sound colored.

But that doesn't necessarily mean done, I now have two pair heh heh heh.

I have had many speakers over the years and thought them perfect but when I moved home they didn't sound so good in my new place...
That's why I developed and tweaked my speakers in the room and position in which they are used. Nobody I know has an anechoic living room, nor even a room like the test chambers used in the development of quality speakers.

I purchased a pair of Polk SDA2A recently. I have finally found my speakers. Upgrade of the tweeters and I jumped the poly switch. From rock to Jazz these are the ones I will keep.

After owning 30+ different speakers over the past 40 years I stopped looking about 6 years ago after buying a pair of AR 9's.
What a great find - so rare these days. My 'man cave' system still uses my 1979 AR9s I bought in the late 1980s.
I've had the caps and foam surrounds redone in early 2000s - so far they're still in good condition (low humidity here), but had to remove and totally bypass the 3 db selector switches in 2014 as they were causing a lot of noise and static. They sound deep, powerful, punchy and just play ANY kind of music beautifully. I think they'll be passed on to my daughter when I exit.
Do you mind saying how much they cost you then?

Recap them and they will sound even better!

Purchased a pair of Bryston speakers about 6 years ago (3 way, 8" woofer) and thought I was done.
Upgraded my integrated last fall and wonder if I can do better. Presently looking in the 10K to 14K range and have narrowed the field down with regards to specs. Plan to audition as many, if not all, on my list. May require a flight or two. If I am not "amazed" at what I hear, will likely put my money back in my pocket and be done.

I kept my JBL 4365 for 7 years, and they were mighty fine speakers. Eventually my system transformed to one that could drive some very difficult speakers. So stepping out to the great unknown I listed my JBL on CL and to my surprise I found a local buyer.

So I had been window shopping on USAM. I ended up reaching out to a seller of a pair of Martin Logan CLX ART speakers in Tennesse. We managed to arrange delivery at a very reasonable price, and his asking price for the speakers were something I could afford. I ended up with a like new pair of speakers that were 6 years old and had a MSRP of $33K. The piano black finish is an upcharge, and makes for a striking speaker that my Velodyne subs just happen to match.

Is it my last pair of speakers? I am only 57, so maybe not. But its going to take a long long time to afford better.

Bryston does make fantastic speakers!

Are yours the bookshelf (Mini T)? Or the larger floor standing ones (Middle or Model T)?

I paid $900 CAD, all caps in the crossover had been replaced with Solens. I just needed to refoam the woofers.

I wouldn't say I am done considering other speakers but for the past 13 years the L5s I use in my main system have not given me a reason to look for a replacement.

I am done!
@62 I am loving retirement, and all that comes with it. My wife has always been a supportive voice of reason, she even assisted in the retrieval of my last few sets of speakers. The ADS L980 Is the largest "bookshelf" speaker the company made, at 65lbs. Not something I wanted to lift and carry on my own.
After the acquisition of some perfect L880's I could have just said to myself that is enough, at my age I know what I like, music, sound, and the like, but the 980's are a rare find, so off we went, and they were a bargain, I even went the extra mile and had the tweets and mids refreshed by Richard So. So they are essentially new.
Been through many audio stores, read a Ton about the latest, greatest speakers, auditioned a good many of them, only to deduce that my ears and brain have a strong affinity for Braun/ADS. Seems as though they perfected audio replication years ago. And my collection resembles my affinity for the brand.
So for me the Speaker search is over, now the new rabbit hole to descend is amplification, and who knows after that. All I can add to that is, the addiction is now listening to music.
So since writing about my ADS acquisitions, I found a pair of former ADS engineer Michael Kelly's contribution to the Peachtree Audio D5 in cherry. So,I suppose that makes me hopeless. But happy, it's probably as close to an Aerial Acoustics speaker(Michael Kelly) as I will ever get.
