IDK has started selling these.

That's right...real granite side panels made from stone from the quarries near Sakuragawa City in Ibaraki Prefecture. (The major stone-works center here in Japan.)

They sell granite feet / insulators too.

The side panels are priced at roughly $800 USD.
The feet are priced at roughly $150 bucks for a set of 4.

IDK and SANSUI... ROCK'N HARD. Literally.

The fact that it is actually contracted to a company that makes mortuary monuments (and building founding stones to be fair) I can see your point.

I imagine that the appeal must be an in person experience.

The owners of IDK are supreme Sansui fans, so I'm guessing the end result is a lot better than the pics can relay.

No! man my SANSUIS are already to heavy. B2301 SOMETHING LIKE 39KGS, B2302 44KGS, C2301 20,9, G22K 44KGS, 911DG NOW AT 23KGS.
Not to mention BA 3000 BA 5000 CA3000 BA2000 and some others too, like 929 at 17,5 kgs.
I already have enough problems with my back and hips that had operation , complete arthroplastic on both.
Don't need any more weights to lift. I can't do it anymore.
The other day I had to pull out of the rack the sub amp , JBL MPX 1200, 29,5KGS beast. I had to ask a friend to come over take it out put in the car and take it to my friend's shop for service.

That's disappointing, I signed up and filled out the expression of interest form for a set of granite side cheeks and the return email said that they could not sell to a foreign country. Bummer!
