Thank you! I was wondering what the connector was called that makes it easy mini XLR connector, and Belden 1800F. I am going to take a look at the Grado Prestige Extension Cable and make a decision. I was trying to listen to My K240's plugged into my Onkyo AVR today and the sound is unacceptable. I have a ASUS Xonar Essence STX on the PC and the on board headphone amp is magical but the PC is located just a few feet to far away from my listening area to be comfortable.
Edit: Just purchased the Grado prestige Extension Cable, and the 3.5mm adapter as well from Amazon. I am still going to look into building a cable as well. Thanks to all!!!!!!
That Grado extention cable came in the box with my RS1e headphones. In the times that I have used it, I can't say I've ever noticed an audible difference. I'm sure you'll be quite pleased with it.
