Hi all, I recently recapped and restored my dad's Marantz 1060 receiver and 105B tuner with lots of help from audiokarma.org as a lurker. It's my main system, and puts out almost 50 watts per channel (before clipping) after the recap (stock is a conservative 30 watts). These were my first restoration projects, and my hope is to find more units in need of some attention! If anyone has an old McIntosh laying around.... :D

I run them through a pair of Klipsch RB-61 IIs and a no-name upright subwoofer due to space constraints. For input, I run Moode audio on a Raspberry Pi through a Schiit Modi+. The whole setup sounds amazing considering my dad bought it in 1974, 2 years before I was born. The old Pioneer headphones were an eBay score and do work fine, but are more for aesthetics :).

I'm really grateful for all the help I found on this forum, it's been invaluable. Glad to be here!

The Marantz pieces are gorgeous! I’m a Sansui nut myself. The AU-222 is my personal favorite, and my everyday amp.

Also, I had a pair of Klipsch Forte’s for over 30 years.

Thank you! Sansui made some beautiful gear. I love the aesthetics of the vintage stuff.

I have the same earphone stand with those exact phones on it! Bought them on BT here, in the box, for super cheap. Nice! Welcome to the AK.
 
Great work, glad you're here! Similarly I did systems with PiCore into Modius and another with a Boss hat. All driving classic gear!
