Hello from California

Thanks everyone. I'm from Thousand Oaks. Born and raised here. I have my dad's old 80's Nikko stereo. Consists of Cassette deck model ND-790, an AM/FM radio model NT-790, and an amplifier model NA-890. My dad took really good care of the stereo. Looks almost brand new. However, the cassette deck is broken. I'm either thinking of donating it or keeping it and repairing it. Anyways, here is pictures of it.

Welcome! Thousand Oaks is not too far from the old Marantz factory. I own a Marantz 1200 and a 1030, both built in So Cal. Regardless of what people may say about my home state (Living out of state for 35+ years because of my job), CA still has the top GDP in the USA. (Sorry Texas, you're number 2). Having been born and educated in CA, the state also has great schools- Stanford, USC, UC, Cal Tech, Claremont Colleges, CSU and affordable community colleges.

Greetings from the Bay Area!

Consider describing your system and asking what might be done to bring it back to its original glory!

Stuff deteriorates through time and with this hobby ... much is reversible. One good thing is ... most does not have to be done today - but at least you know the journey that you are on!
