Help! deciding between DCM TF600s, KLH2s and Infinity Reference SIXs (1991) or Infinity Kappas 6.5

I need a second audio setup at my studio but but since my audi addiction is only a few months old I don't know much about speakers yet. Had my sights set on some JBL 4412A blueface modified by Kerick Sound but someone got to them first. Now I'm between these:

DCM TF600
KLH 2
Infinity Reference SIX (1991)
Infinity Kappa 6.5

Powered by a Sansui AU D9 or D11 (have both, the D11 is hooked up to a pair of Polk Audio Monitor 10B but I'm willing to switch things up if needed)

The room is pretty big about 30' x 15' with tall ceilings (about 13')

I've only heard the Reference Six's... I liked them well enough but the room was abismal and from what Ive heard about Arnie Nudell I would give them another chance.

I'd be thankfull for any help

While I haven’t heard them all, not sure any of them would beat the Polk’s in that room. Especially not in bass output or volume. Buy another pair of 10’s and stack them, that would fill the room!
 
Consider TF-700 0r TF-1000. The older models are superior, designed before DCM started to go mass market and cheapen things out. Better tweeter and crossover. They are pretty immune to room effects. I have heard them in a square room (one of the worst audio environments) a basement with a 8 foot ceiling, a big box store in the middle of the store, a 20 x 15 foot room with a vaulted ceiling and they always sound very open and uncolored. Bass goes down to 30Hz.

Thank you, where I am it's a little limited with regards to availability. But I'll try to find the earlier models. Just now discovered DCM and have been very interested in hearing the old vs the new models

Honestly, I have been contemplating the option of going down the strictly Polk Audio route. I can't properly express how much I love those 10b's. But it's hard to get em here. Been waiting for an SDA to surface for months and nothing... Haven't seen a single monitor series either. The ones I list are the only decent ones that I can find+afford (there's some Martin Logan's and a single Voice of Theatre that really tempt me but damn they're expensive). Living in Mexico has many advantages with regards to tacos and mezcal, but the speaker market ain't one of them.
 
I have the TF 600's, and they sound pretty good, even with needing the side mounted tweeters replaced. Have the tweeters but haven't felt like doing it just yet. Lol. I can't speak for the other ones tho. I can highly recommend KLH 5 's (recapped) if you can get your hands on a pair of those.

I also have a pair of TF-600's, and I just cannot dig those mylar tweeters, though the sound is admittedly very good. Are you replacing them with stock? Pull the sock from the bottom, makes it SO much easier.
I hope to recap my pair soon.

As for Polk, I have a pair of the vinyl-clad SDA 1-B's, and let me tell you, they're darn impressive. Also hope to give them the full boat overhaul one day.

I'm dying to hear one of those SDAs. Heard removing the sock is a whole thing but I wasn't planning or replacing tweeters, maybe I haven't investigated enough about the subject because I don't even know exactly what you mean by replacing them with stock.
 
Looked for ESS and there´s nothing around here, same for SDA´s and KLH 5s... although they are going up on the wish list (I need some lottery proceeds or something) So ended up going for the TF 600s. Id like to look more into the stock replacement procedure @onwardjames mentioned. ButIm not sure what it is exactly... replacing the tweeters? do you have any more info?

Anyways, the Time Frames are getting here on Sunday, Ill let you know how it goes.
 
Honestly, if all drivers are accounted for, I'd just plan on a full recap, which involves popping off the bottom wood base and rolling sock from the bottom to access woofer hole.

Now, if they don't work, then you might read up on that. Those little mylar rear tweeters are for diffracted sound, and so not nearly as important as the forward facing ones (which are also mylar, I think). I REALLY have no reason for disliking them like I do, they do okay.

But yeah, a recap is really needed at this point.
 
I would listen first and make sure all the drivers are working. Use a paper towel tube up near each driver. As far as recap, there is only 1 electrolytic in each crossover, the rest are film caps and should be OK.
 
Update: Got the TF600s (+ a sub). I'm very happy with them but not quite as blown away as I hoped. Which is to say: I still preffer the sound of my Polk Monitor 10bs, specially the clarity in the high frequencies. I suppose no amount of engeenering can get around the cheap tweeters on the Time Frames, but positioning helps a lot! Also the TF600s can really fill up the room! and sound pretty good wherever you are, whereas the Polks have a very definite sweet spot... so the 600s are perfect for my studio where I tend to move around quite a bit. @onwardjames you mentioned replacing the tweeters, right? I might have to look into that... you know of any pgrade?

Yes, look for a pair of TF700's. Told you they were better!
