G'day all,
I've been lurking a bit and finding some great info on the site for restoring some old marantz gear and it's all coming along nice. However I'm having some issues with a RC430 unit I picked up - doesn't seem to be powering up (no standby power - well LEDs not on). However, I've checked some voltages - 240V's coming in, the transformer has 12-0-12VAC (ish) and the rectifier diodes seem to be putting out +/-11VDC (ish). The remote control seems to be sending some signal (red LED is flashing so it's at least a good sign) tot he unit. Couldn't see any fuses, doesn't seem to be any broken PCB wires, no exploded caps or other burnt components. Haven't come across a user/service manual freely available yet either. Or am I missing something that needs to help it power up?
Any tips I should be looking at that might bring it to life? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Pete
