There is a pair of KEF 105.2's in Studio City but, based on your last post, they may be a little larger than you're looking for. They would definitely fill your room with enough quality sound though. If they are close to you, go give them a listen. I think you will be impressed. If you like the sound but not the size, see the following.
Also a pair of KEF 104/2's in Newport Beach, at slightly above your limit. They look to be in excellent condition so the price is not out of line. Many vintage KEF fans here. (I own 2 pair of the 104/2's

) They
do need good, quality power to sound their best though. I'm driving mine with a Pioneer SX-1010 using a Schiit preamp.
I'm also an ADS fan, and have 2 pair of the bookshelf's. I haven't heard any of the larger models, but greatly prefer the Kef's to my L710's. (And the L710 is a
great speaker!) Got Little Feat-Waiting for Columbus rockin' as I type.
As was mentioned, listen to as many as you can.
