Help identifying console

No tags, markers or brand logos, heirloom item in full functional operation, complete with manual, punchcard, wipecloth, original needle, etc. What is it, why aren't there any brand markings? This thing sounds awesome, and it's MadMen style! We play it rarely to preserve the tubes, and never for long so it doesn't get too hot. Any ideas? RETMA 232 RUN1 MAH 128 6359

I did see that one, almost the same, but this one has a dif amp layout and cabinet is higher quality, wondered if it was US version or what...

Look for a model number on the amp.

Also look on the speakers. It looks like a Magnavox to me. If it has green bell cast horn tweeters, it is a Magnavox. Check the four digit numbers ink stamped on the back of the cabinet and/or the amp chassis.

It's definitely a Magnavox. :thmbsp: The amp could be a couple of different versions of the single ended 6BQ5 amp. Console looks like the one I had growing up.

I'd say you're right. It has the civil defense markings on the tuner so it's 1963 or older. The tuner isn't the same as a 1963 so I'd say it's a 1962 or older. I saw a 1959 that looked similar.

The numbers on the speakers will give you a date of manufacturing. It's not hard to decipher them but I can't remember how to do it. :sigh:

The arm on the turntable is a big hint. Its a Collaro, and very few besides Magnavox used one.
