Help IDing Connector

Hello AK,

Title says it all -- anyone know what this connector is? It's the auxiliary input of my Capehart N2 console amp. I'd rather use the original connector than hacking in an RCA, so any help IDing would be appreciated!

Kinda looks like one of those circular mil-std connectors, but I can't find anything in the Amphenol catalog with the pins off-center like this.
 
Wow, that's an odd one, never seen something like that. I found a couple of similar connectors, but probably nothing that would fit.

Yeah, I fear it's something proprietary or very obscure and I'll probably have to rig the input some other way. Figured it was worth asking though.
 
Yeah, you're right, looks like you're kind of boned on this one, you might have to replace it with the two-pin male mike socket and use the corresponding two pin mike plug.
 
Yeah, that's the plan. The cutout appears to be ~15 mm, which is a pretty standard size, so I'm just gonna buy something new and wire it up. Contacts look pretty dirty anyways, probably best to replace.
 
@gadget73 Wow, thanks! You're right, that's the connector. RickB was on the right track it seems. They're a bit pricey, but I don't mind. Might grab a new jack too, there are some nice and shiny ones on Ebay.
 
If it were me and I was going to replace both I'd probably do the newer style as plugs more than likely will be more available in the future...and cost significantly less.
 
I managed to get a new jack and the plug for $20, so not too bad. Could always swap later, but it's nice to stay somewhat original (although I am replacing the power cable receptacle with a Powercon).

Yeah, had one of those set-ups years ago, the mike connector on my Collins 32V-2 is the same....made an adapter to take the more familiar 4-pin connectors so I could use any number of different mikes with it.

I have 2 plugs. One on an adapter, the other on a near-match for the original Browning mic. I make adapters for most things so I don't need a forest of microphones.
