Help me finalize the dream setup.

In the next week or so I'm about to go on a trip and at that point I plan to get some speakers as it's on my way. Currently I'm not sure which one to get as all are similar in prices.

1. JBL L86 at 600 euros (refoamed)
2. JBL L110A with 250W output at 650 euros some work done on woofers but the seller doesn't know what exactly Other than that it really is mint condition. Input pins swapped with modern banana pins. (English not my main)
3. Wharfdale Super Denton walnut finish with Mission Stancett at 620 euros New ones go for 990 euros plus the stands. Sellers says he is selling to get the newer version.

All have grills with them.

I always wanted a big vintage 3 way speaker (current ones look great but are just not as I hoped for) and for a while now JBl seems as the obvious pick. I started from the iconic models, and realised I don't have the budget for them.

My current setup is Pioneer SX-750 with Pioneer CS-711A speakers and a Technics SL-D2 turntable. The room is 4m x 4m with one side opened to dinning room and rest of the apartment.

Music i listen to is mostly Jazz, Blues, Rock and Oldschool Hip Hop. Low to moderate volumes are mostly played due to a 14 years old baby girl.

Any feedback and thoughts, would be much appreciated.

You are right. A typo, because the seller is after Lintons so in a rush I made a mistake. Fixed it.

Understood. That does make things harder.

I suspect that you would be happy with any of your choices. And while I fully understand that money is always an issue, I suggest not looking at this as a permanent change/addition. Most people who post here, myself included, have had their systems for a long time and many have evolved over the years.

Ohhh absolutely! Nothing is set in stone, and things will change however I would like to get the best out of it for now. Especially, considering that the price difference is really small. I do like all of them, tho I kind of prefer the bigger boxes regardless of both bigger ones being JBL.

Without hearing any of these, I'd go for the Wharfedales. I remember them being well reviewed and since they're far newer, they're less likely to have issues.

What makes you a JBL fanboy? What's so special about them?

Have him send a photo of the re-surround work. Many are done wrong or sloppily.

That looks original with the white Aquaplas applied to the back of the cone.

So you would say these are good? Why these and not L86's? Just learning here.

Between the used L86 and the L110A, it's prolly going to come down to which is in better shape and which sounds better to you.

Unfortunately no. Other side of the country both of them. That's the main reason I'm asking, as I'm unable to test them as I did the HPM 60...

I have only heard the L110A in a store a long time ago. It sounded okay to me at the time. At that time, I owned a 1970s-era L100s. The sound was similar.

I know, that's really no help. Sorry.
