Ya, without the original woofer I would pass on them unless you can find an original. Too many times if the speaker surrounds are rotted instead of having the surrounds replaced on the woofers, they put a subwoofer in place of the woofer.
For some reason, any speaker bigger than 6" is miss identifed as a subwoofer these days. A lot of nice speakers have been ruined by doing this. The sad thing is paying to have new surrounds put on the original woofer costs about the same or less than buying subwoofers to replace them.
Here is a thread chock full of speakers that have had the woofer replaced with subwoofers.

Yep, that looks like the original woofer, but with some, what looks like, felt triangles glued on.

I'm not sure about it not being the original woofer. It looks very close to the same except for the 3 added pieces surrounding the dust cap.

Possible, but still, adding weight to the cone is going to change how the speaker reacts and sounds.

I couldn’t find any completed sales for those speakers on eBay. Based on the price of the other speakers in the TSW lineup, I think a neighborly price is $100 or less.
If I had those speakers for sale I’d probably start at $125 and really hope someone offered me $100. But if not at least $75
