Help me identify these speakers

They look a little like Jensen but Jensen was pretty good at putting its code (220) on stuff they made.

Those actually look closer to the ones in the Maggie.

They do have kind of a Maggie vibe.

Found these in my collection.



1056 is Gefco, which doesn't help much because they made drivers for a lot of name brands

Here is a closer look at the woofer. There are codes on the cone "71062/8" and the gasket "7 1058 52"

Those black and red ones are junk at this point (so goes the conventional wisdom) so I would put another cap in there before passing any judgment on the sound. If it's still too hot with good film caps in it, you can always pad down the tweeter or midrange.

Installed new 4.7uf MKS4 WIMA caps and there is a significant improvement the sound.

When I first saw the logo I thought "Airline", a Montgomery Wards brand from way back in the day. However, I can't find anything useful down that rabbit hole.

Those numbers on the woofer look like manuf. part numbers. The /8 is probably to designate the 8 ohm version of that cone/voice coil assy. It's a mystery!

Yes, it's a mystery all right. Yes the /8 seems to be the impedance of the speaker...
