I am presently running squeezelite on three pogoplugs and have no complaints. Up until three weeks ago I ran squeezelite on a Raspberry Pi 2. I recently installed retrpopie (a 80's gaming OS) on a new microSD card for the RPi2. I may try and add squeezelite to that OS or I can just swap mico SD cards and go back to Raspian/Squuezelite any time I want. Why not just run squeezelite on your Pis and run it as a Pi Squeezebox? It is what I plan on doing once I get the time to load up the system on the Pi stuff I recently bought.
I am happy to see that LMS just added a native app for Tidal but it is still limited to only two streaming services. Whereas the CCA has a lot more streaming services available. That said a lot of the music I listen to is live concerts recorded by "amatuers" that is not available through streaming. So before I make any changes I need to know that CCA can play local files without any fuss or complications. I know LMS can act as a UPnP/DNLA mediaserver so I think it will be doable. Those CCA disks are very attractive compared to a pogo E02.
