Help Please

Never suggested to purchase. Thought he already had said sub. Not ill advised if were for experimental purposes. Not my first time around the block. Been doing this over 40 years now.

I just have it hooked up with a couple of cheap JVC speakers atm and it sounds pretty good, as long as you don't up the volume to much.

Is that low volume only because of the speakers?

Thanks for the pic. You have two amplifiers in that unit. One runs the front speakers at 60wpc and this will accept a 4Ω load, like two pair of 8Ohm speakers or a pair or 4 ohm speakers. The Remote speakers are run by a separate 12wpc amplifier and you need to remote to change the volume of this output. It is not associated with the Front speaker main volume control on the front panel. Odd but that is how Onkyo used the extra computing power of the chip in that unit. But you can listen to a different source on the remote speakers. So hook them up somewhere else in the house and play some FM or stream to that second set of speakers. Use your main speakers for your regular listening.

yes you can run them in series but folks here get all upset when you do that. So don't tell anyone.
