Help! Problem With MS750

I had the motherboard and power supply replaced on my MS300 by Escient. It only took a day to fix. great service. Three days to ship to Escient, three days ship to my door.

I took it back to my dealer, he said he fixes it in house unless it's a hard drive problem.

He told me if it is the hard drive that he sends them somewhere else for data recovery.

I suspect that your dealer calls the Escient/Mcintosh help desk 800# and then sends it off to them. They will fix it right away and send it back to your dealer all fixed up and ready to go.

I doubt that your dealer will be actually servicing the MS750 unit. If they actually do, then I am very surprised and don't understand why that they would when Escient does this all day long..

We are eager to hear what the issue was and the associated correction.

Honestly I don't care who fixes it as long as I get it back in a reasonable amount of time with my data intact.

He led me to believe they fixed them in house, maybe they don't, but Mike at L & M is a well respected premier dealer so who knows?

I will report back as to what issues they find, as soon as I find out.
